I am the Keeper of this prison, and have held that office since the 10th of March last. Five of the East Point criminals have had their sentences of death commuted, and the fifth have been
discharged by Free Pardon. Three of the five have since been sent to Penang under sentence of Transportation. There
remain two here in the Prison, Lee Clong and Chick-Assing.
I remember to have had some conversation
